Overview

Job purpose

PowerSchool has an opportunity for an experienced professional to join our growing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) & Social Impact team.  The Social Impact Program Lead is responsible for executing PowerSchool’s social impact program; creating business-driven impact at scale that supports our mission and creates value for our stakeholders. The role’s responsibilities includes but it not limited to supporting strategy development, impact measurement and reporting, managing relationships with program partners, and leading the execution of programmatic activities. The Social Impact Lead will also provide support for the broader Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program including but not limited to assisting in ESG data verification and research, report development and stakeholder engagement.

 

This position is for the social intrapreneur—an experienced social impact practitioner that will help PowerSchool meet its impact commitments and create value for our customers and communities. This role would provide a unique opportunity also for professionals with a background in education and a passion for creating impact in the education space. This position is ideal for a creative, organized and collaborative individual with excellent communication skills and a strategic social intrapreneurship mindset.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Social impact program – 75% 

  • Maintain programmatic oversight of social impact initiatives including partnership building, M&E, impact measurement and reporting
  • Support Social Impact program strategy development including partnership identification & building, impact measurement + reporting and impact-related communications
  • Provide support for employee resource groups (ERGs) social impact efforts
  • Support the education social impact and environmental sustainability ERGs including creating agendas, conducting research and executing on specific initiatives
  • Coordinate with Communications team to deliver effective social impact communications
  • Coordinate with appropriate functions to support and align employee volunteer and engagement programs
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Broader ESG program support – 25%

Support the broader ESG program by coordinating with the ESG Director around:

  • ESG data verification and research
  • Reporting including annual ESG report
  • ESG + impact communications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Website and internal resources updates
  • Strategic ESG initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in Social impact, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), or ESG functions with program management responsibilities, or a former educator, or a current/former PowerSchooler
  • Demonstrated ability to measure and report on social impact. Experience with impact measurement & ESG frameworks including IRIS, UN SDGs, GRI
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven innovation in the social impact space
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively identify and lead strategic initiatives around our stakeholders’ needs
