Our Information Technology (IT) team leads all aspects of IT systems and processes across the enterprise, including data services, security, compliance, applications, automation, and end-user services. Through innovative and streamlined technology solutions, this dynamic team enables company growth​, protects data, and serves as a critical partner to all departments of PowerSchool.

Responsibilities

Description

Enterprise Infrastructure is responsible for supporting all hardware and software systems. They also provide technical guidance to IT and non-IT staff to ensure that all infrastructure systems meet the company's current and future needs, as well as troubleshoot system and network issues.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

 

  • Support and manage IT Infrastructure at Folsom HQ.
  • Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments including ESXi hosts, vCenter servers, virtual machines, and storage configurations.
  • Manage and support the VMware virtualization environment.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security; troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, alerts, and issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Shell, Ansible, Python) for routine system tasks and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing IT Infrastructure, Linux systems, and VMware environments.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter server administration, and virtual machine management.
  • Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving infrastructure-related issues.
  • Basic scripting skills using Shell, Ansible, or Python for automation of operational tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise patch management and security compliance processes.
  • Working knowledge of storage systems, networking fundamentals, and backup/restore solutions in a virtualized environment.
  • Advanced scripting and automation experience using Ansible, Python, or other automation frameworks.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience in creating infrastructure procedures, standards, and knowledge base articles.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $68,100 - $137,500 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; specific geographic location; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
