Team Overview

Reporting to the SVP of Finance, the primary objective of the Director of International Finance is to provide financial business partner support to the SVP of International Markets, focusing on facilitating and driving closure on cross functional operational initiatives in a timely and successful manner.

This key role will provide leadership to the Senior Vice President of International Markets and the International leadership teams as PowerSchool continues to develop operations and infrastructure in targeted international markets. They will be the financial liaison of the International business to other functional areas of the company and will provide critical business analysis and guidance to the International organization on a broad range of accounting, planning, and investment initiatives, ensuring the integrity of financial data, appropriate use of capital, and efficient and compliant operations. The role will also be responsible for presenting to management partners monthly financial metrics, operational KPIs, and ad-hoc project plans and results.

Description

As a member of the Leadership team for our international business, this role’s essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Delivering financial analytics and reporting to drive and support international growth, including weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews of results (bookings, ARR, retention, pricing, revenue, expense, and headcount)
  • Providing business support and operational readiness for international growth and expansion, including entity setup, partnerships, treasury/banking, billing and collections, and headcount staffing models based on regional best practices/norms
  • Planning, driving, and coordinating activities across multiple departments (such as Customer Success, Finance, Marketing, Legal, HR, Facilities, IT, and others) related to the launch and expansion of international operations to meet our financial and strategic objectives
  • Facilitating and delivering financial analytics and executive-level reporting on international initiatives
  • Developing process playbooks as well as continuously improving current processes

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant FP&A or related accounting work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of international finance experience, emphasis in supporting Sales
  • Program and project management experience with high attention to detail
  • Experience in setting up legal entities, infrastructure, and business models in international markets/countries
  • Player-coach with demonstrated experience in financial analytics, presentation creation and delivery, and data analytics abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong preference for someone in EST zone
  • Strong interpersonal and managerial skills with demonstrated success in developing high-performing, accountable, and functional teams
  • Self-motivated and solution-focused in completing deliverables and ad-hoc requests
  • Excellent Excel modelling skills and experience using Salesforce, NetSuite, and Adaptive Planning strongly preferred

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $142,700 - $192,500 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; specific geographic location; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
