Team Overview

The Sales team gets PowerSchool into the hands of the educators and students who need it. Working side by side with Solution Consulting and Customer Success, we build executive relationships, lead account planning, and run deals end to end to renew on time and expand multi-suite adoption, delivering predictable bookings and revenue retention that empower better K-12 outcomes.

Responsibilities

Description

The Inside Sales Manager leads and develops a team of Inside Sales Hunters responsible for new logo acquisition across high-velocity territories. They drive team-level pipeline generation, outbound performance, and new logo conversion through structured coaching, operating cadence, and process discipline. The role partners with Marketing, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, and Field Sales teams to refine targeting, improve early customer value, and strengthen PowerSchool’s routes-to-market execution.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

  • Own team-level new logo pipeline and bookings performance with a disciplined weekly operating cadence including team meetings, 1:1s, and opportunity reviews.
  • Coach the team to maintain high-quality prospecting, messaging, discovery, objection handling, and MEDDPICC execution, while ensuring disciplined CRM hygiene and strong pipeline visibility.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop Inside Sales Reps, building a strong talent pipeline and accelerating readiness for higher performance tiers.
  • Lead rigorous pipeline and forecast inspections, coaching sellers on qualification, stage quality, timeline realism, push-rate reduction, and credible commits.
  • Analyze outbound, conversion, and deal progression patterns to identify improvement opportunities and translate insights into updated plays, talk tracks, and training.
  • Partner with SDRs, Marketing, Solution Consulting, and Customer Success to shape targeted demos and evaluations, and ensure high-quality handoffs.
  • Ensure territory coverage and outbound alignment with regional field and enterprise teams and with Partner/Channel Strategy partners.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement with high-energy execution.
  • Travel occasionally up to 10% for key moments such as team summits and other high-priority events (e.g., training, conferences, client demos), with increased frequency during peak periods based on business demands.

Success Indicators

  • Team new logo bookings consistently meet or exceed quarterly targets.
  • Demonstrated uplift in rep capability through structured coaching, training, and adoption of improved methods.
  • High-quality CRM hygiene, MEDDPICC discipline, forecast accuracy, and reduced push-rate maintained across the team.
  • Strong cross-functional alignment resulting in higher-quality pipeline and improved early customer outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success driving disciplined pipeline generation, qualification, and deal progression across a team.
  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills with the ability to recruit, develop and retain top inside sales talent.
  • Strong command of CRM systems, MEDDPICC, outbound programs, and high-velocity sales motions.
  • 4+ years sales experience in full-cycle B2B SaaS or EdTech, including experience leading or directly coaching Inside Sales or BDR/SDR teams, or an equivalent combination of experience and skills that demonstrates strong sales leadership aptitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing hybrid or multi-location Inside Sales teams.
  • Demonstrated impact on playbooks, onboarding programs, or sales training that improved team execution.
  • Strong understanding of K-12 or public sector cycles including funding calendars, co-ops, and RFP processes.
  • Evidence of effective cross-functional partnership with sales-adjacent teams to improve targeting, messaging, and early-stage customer outcomes.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $115,900 - $144,900 USD plus applicable commission. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
