Overview

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is accountable for optimizing and analyzing cash collection from PowerSchool customers.

This position serves as a customer contact regarding invoicing and payments, while handling large volumes of calls and emails.

The Accounts Receivable Analyst must be able to work directly with customers and peers and correctly analyze invoices, payments, and credit memos.

The successful candidate must communicate effectively, work independently, and meet strict deadlines.

  • Make accounts receivable calls and/or customer correspondence in a fast-paced goal-oriented Accounts Receivable department 
  • Update, track, and deliver management and financial reports on a recurring basis  
  • Research, resolve, and respond to issues and inquiries from customers 
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts 
  • Conduct data analysis; evaluate business processes; determine business needs; identify requirements; and develop data system analysis  
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in the collection process  
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders  
  • Participate and sometimes lead team planning meetings  
  • Provide excellent & considerate customer service to customers and business partners  
  • Deliver a high level of service to achieve and maintain high satisfaction levels and support customer retention

Qualifications include: 

  • 1-3 years’ prior experience in a business or data analyst role   
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience   
  • Ability to independently research, resolve, and respond to issues and inquiries from clients 
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills  
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or NetSuite preferred  
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills 
  • Strong oral, written and verbal communication abilities  
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex problems requiring changes in priorities and workflow, or partnering with other business units  
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at the same time

Physical Requirements 

Lifting/Carrying: 

  • Occasionally carrying items weighing under 10 lbs. 
  • Rarely carrying items weighing between 11-20 lbs.

  • Occasionally reaching over shoulder 
  • Overhead and reaching outward 
  • Occasionally bending 
  • Frequently walking normal surfaces  
  • Constant sitting  

Other: 

  • Constant use of keyboard, fine dexterity, grasping, holding 
  • Constant repetitive motion – hands

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $24.00 – $28.00 per hour. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
