As a Sales Development Representative at PowerSchool, you will build our sales pipeline and will be responsible for starting a sales experience that sets the stage for an effective close.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Development Representative, you will find, develop and create new business opportunities for our sales team. You will be responsible for internally coordinating the leads you develop. You will work with Account Representatives to ensure each lead has a high-quality sales experience. You will work with leadership to prioritize your efforts against PowerSchool’s key objectives. You will be responsible for managing prebuilt personalized reports and communicating to your manager the progress against your efforts.

You are process oriented, organized, able to provide solutions, and effectively evaluate potential in all customer interactions. You are competitive and an over-achiever; you are always wanting to do your best and give 110% in everything you set your mind to.

 

What will I be doing??

  • Sourcing prospects and generating leads via cold-call
  • Working directly with our Inside and/or Enterprise Sales teams to pass along qualified opportunities
  • Developing a strong understanding of our prospects and learning solution-selling techniques
  • Proactively engaging and prospecting new business opportunities and customers: approximately 50-60 outbound calls and 20-30 emails per day
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed metrics as defined by the Sales Leadership Team

Qualifications include: 

  • Background in technology sales or lead generation a plus
  • Ability to be coached, trained and mentored toward a successful software sales career
  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must have strong skills in MS Office
  • Desire to grow in a software sales career path
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $21.64 – $24.04 an hour. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
